Dangerous Driving – Derwent Park (13-July)

Police are appealing for witnesses following a dangerous driving incident which occurred at approximately 5.00pm on Sunday the 13th of July 2014.

Mobile Firearm Amnesty – Smithton (20-July)

Police have conducted the last of four Western District mobile firearms amnesty events at Smithton today between 9am and 3pm. A total of 18 firearms were handed in; nine shotguns and nine rifles.

Fatal Crash, Midland Highway, Ross – Appeal For Witnesses

Police are appealing for additional witnesses who may have seen a green 1992 Ford Falcon sedan travelling towards Launceston on the Midland Highway on Thursday 17th July 2014. The vehicle was travelling from Hobart and was involved in a fatal collision with a log truck near Ross at about 1.30pm that day.

Traffic Delays for State Funeral (21-July)

Motorists should expect delays travelling within the area of the Hotel Grand Chancellor, Davey Street, Hobart on Monday 21 July 2014 whilst the State funeral for His Excellency, the Honourable Peter Underwood, AC, Governor of Tasmania is being held.

Police are investigating an alleged assault by two men which occurred between 8-9pm on Tuesday 8 July 2014 in the vicinity of the public toilets located upon the Hobart Regatta Grounds.

Youth charged with graffiti offences

YOUTH CHARGED WITH GRAFFITI OFFENCES A 15-year-old youth from Oakdowns was charged yesterday by Bellerive police with two counts of Destroy Property. The charges relate to two incidents in Lauderdale where, on two occasions, 13 parked Metro buses were damaged substantially by graffiti inside and out. Fatal Crash – Midlands Highway (17-July) (Update)

Tasmania Police attended a fatal crash between a Ford Falcon sedan and a fully laden log truck on the Midland Highway at 1.30pm yesterday, approximately 1km south of Ross.
