Helicopter Medivac – Swansea

At 12:00pm on Thursday 16/1/14 Ambulance Tasmania activated the Westpac Rescue Helicopter to attend Swansea due to a 56 year old Turners Beach man suffering cardiac arrest.

Salamanca Incident – Victim Sought

Police are investigating an incident which occurred outside licensed premises on the corner of Salamanca Place and Montpellier Retreat approximately 2.45am on Saturday 16th November 2013.

Identity Required – Fraud Offences

On the 4th January 2014, a ladies purse was stolen from the Eastlands Shopping Centre. A short time later a credit card contained within that purse was used several times at various locations in the Sandy Bay area, including Coles, Woolworths, Sandy Bay Newsagency, the Abbey Cider Lounge, Shell Coles Express and Chemist Warehouse.

Incident – Turners Crescent, Shorewell (13 Jan)

About 10am on Monday 13/1/2014 Police responded to a report of a disturbance at a unit in Turners Crescent, Shorewell. A 44 year old man presented around that time to the North West Regional Hospital, Burnie, suffering injuries.

Serious Bicycle Crash – Kingston (14 Jan)

A 60 year old man from Kingston is in the Royal Hobart Hospital in a serious condition after a bicycle crash on Dennison Street at Kingston. The accident occurred at 3.30pm.

Helicopter Rescue – Wineglass Bay

At 2:20pm on Monday 14/1/14 Tasmania Police Search and rescue received a request for assistance at Wineglass Bay on the Freycinet Peninsula.

Driver Apprehended – Dangerous Driving Incidents – Brooker Highway, Berriedale

Glenorchy Police arrested a 21 year old Claremont male yesterday afternoon in relation to dangerous driving incidents in the Claremont and Berriedale areas on the Brooker Highway at around 7:40am (13/01/2014).
