Arthur Highway Closure

Tasmania Police advise the Arthur Highway has been closed in the vicinity of Forcett and Dunalley due to the anticipated impact of a bushfire. The closure will isolate the Tasman Peninsula, and will be reassessed as conditions ease.

The Christmas Holiday Road Toll reporting period has now concluded. Operation Crossroads was conducted between 23 December 2012 and 3 January 2013. With the loss of 3 lives over this holiday period, police remind motorist to drive responsibly.
