Drug searches Burnie

Police have seized a large amount of ecstasy tablets, amphetamine, cannabis and prescription medication with a street value of approximately $9000 following two searches on units in the Upper Burnie area.

Drug and Firearms Seizure

Western District Drug Investigation Services have seized firearms and drugs after an ongoing investigation involving affiliates of the Finks Outlaw Motorcycle Gang. A 24-year old Heybridge female and a 32-year old Penguin male have been charged.

New and retired police dogs

A long serving member of Tasmania Police has retired from duty after eight years of dedicated service. Nine year old Winnie, a labrador, served as a member of the Tasmania Police dog unit and will be replaced by Cassie, a nineteen month old labrador.
