Operation Unite: A blitz on drunken violence
As the season for Christmas festivities gets underway, police across Australia and New Zealand will be conducting the sixth Operation Unite – a Blitz on Drunken Violence this weekend. Police will be increasing patrols across the State.

Six little ducks went out one day . . . and were rescued on Hobart’s Southern Outlet thanks to the quick
response of a Tasmania Police officer this morning. Mother duck and ducklings were attempting to brave the morning traffic.

A 55 year old woman from Singapore died as the result of a single vehicle crash on the Arthur Highway near Copping.

The Tasmania Police Westpac Rescue Helicopter today conducted a search for an EPIRB in the Dodges Ferry area near Hobart Airport.

At approximately 18.50 hrs on Saturday, 1st December 2012, police were called to a serious single vehicle crash.

About 7:45am on Sunday the 2nd December 2012 a 25 year old female was assaulted by a male person.
Court Duties – Launceston Magistrates Court
Tasmania Police and the Department of Justice have agreed on a memorandum of understanding for new prisoner security arrangements at the Launceston Magistrates Court that will free up police resources for operational work.
Christmas Toy Run – Saturday, 1 December 2012
On Saturday, 1 December 2012, the South Motorcycle Riders Association will hold their annual Toy Run, in Hobart. The event will commence at 2.30pm at the Derwent Entertainment Centre, Glenorchy and conclude at 3.30pm at Salamanca, Hobart.
