Opening of new-look Bellerive headquarters

Tasmania Police’s new look Bellerive station was officially opened on Friday, 18 November. The $6 million refurbishment and extension has doubled the space that was previously available at the Divisional Headquarters in Bellerive.

Emergency Alert test – Fern Tree > 28 November 2011

A public test of the telephone-based emergency warning system, (Emergency Alert), will be held in the Fern Tree area on the evening of Monday 28 November 2011. Warning messages will be issued to landlines and mobile phones.

Man to be charged with traffic offences

At approximately 7.00pm on Thursday 17th November 2011, police received a number of calls from concerned members of the public about a car that was being driven through Chigwell and on the incorrect side of the road.

Trafficking charges

Two people have been charged with trafficking in methylamphetamine from September 2010 until November 2011.

Investigations into trafficking of methylamphetamine

On Wednesday 16 November 2011, members of Southern Drug Investigation Services arrested a male and female from the Nugent area following a lengthy investigation into the trafficing of methylamphetamine.

Attempted armed robbery

At 3.15pm today two males entered the Alanvale Store on Thompsons Lane, Alanvale, and demanded money.

Detectives from the Glenorchy Criminal Investigation Branch are seeking the assistance of the public in relation to several home burglaries in the Glenorchy area over the past week.

A utility and boat were stolen from a house in Burnie overnight on Monday.
