Police investigate road rage incident – Glenorchy

Glenorchy CIB is investigating a road rage incident this morning where a firearm was discharged.

 

Detective Acting Inspector David Gill reassured members of the public, saying there was no threat to the wider community.

 

“The incident was as a result of an ongoing feud between two parties known to each other. Police are following a particular line of inquiry in relation to this,” he said.

 

“As a result of investigations this morning, police can confirm that a gold Holden Astra and a green Hyundai Sonata were involved in the incident.

 

“Police can also confirm that an occupant of the green Hyundai Sonata discharged a firearm at the other vehicle.

 

“No one was injured and no complaint by the occupants of the vehicle that was shot at has been made to police.

 

“However, as a result of speaking to witnesses, Police recovered the offending vehicle at Bridgewater earlier this afternoon.”
