At approximately 12:00pm on Sunday 10^th June 2012, Launceston Police and Tasmania Fire Service attended a house fire at 30 Pioneer Parade, Ravenswood. The occupants of the residence were not present at the time.

As a result of an investigation carried out by members of the Launceston Criminal Investigation Branch a 15 year old Invermay male has been charged with aggravated burglary and arson in relation to the matter.

The youth has been bailed and will appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court (Youth Justice Division) at a later stage.

The matter is still being investigated and further charges are expected to be laid.
