A 20 year old male from Rosetta is in the Royal Hobart Hospital in a critical condition after a motorcycle crash on Grove Road at Glenorchy at about 10.15pm on Sunday the 14th day of April 2012.

The male was riding a blue Triumph motorcycle in a westerly direction near Penguin Drive when the rider has lost control.  The motorcycle has crossed to the incorrect side of the road and slid a considerable distance along the road before it struck an Aurora pole situated on the northern footpath.

The crash is being investigated by Constable Todd Oakley from Glenorchy Police.  He would like to hear from any member of the public who may have witnessed the crash or seen a red 4wd vehicle in the area at the time of the crash. Please call 6230 2111.
