At 1238pm on Wednesday 12/9/12, a gold Ford sedan has driven into a pedestrian who was in the horse shoe driveway of the Launceston General Hospital, Department of Emergency Medicine.

The pedestrian, a 68 year old Ulverstone man suffered serious injuries as a result of the crash and was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the LGH. His condition has since deteriorated. 

The matter is being investigated by Northern Crash Investigation Officers.

Police are calling for any witnesses that may have seen the incident to contact Northern Crash Investigation Services on 63363936 or 63363701.
