Approximately 1:50pm on Wednesday 23 December 2020 the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was deployed to the Cradle Mountain area to assist with the rescue of a 49 year old woman who had suffered a dislocated shoulder while being part of a canyoning tour group.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter successfully winched the woman aboard after she received some preliminary treatment from an Ambulance Tasmania paramedic.  The patient was then transported to the Royal Hobart Hospital for further treatment of her injury.
