Youth charged with unlawfully setting fire to property in the Claremont area
A 16-year-old youth has been charged with two counts of unlawfully setting fire to property in the Claremont area last night.
Police will allege the youth lit several vegetation fires in the Cadbury Road area.
The fires were extinguished by Tasmania Fire Service.
He will appear in the Youth Justice Court at a later date.
Police thank members of the community who reported the fires and provided information in relation to the youth.
