On Saturday 6 December 2014, the South Motorcycle Riders Association will hold their annual Toy Run in Hobart.

The event will commence at 2:30pm at the Derwent Entertainment Centre, Glenorchy and conclude at 3:30pm at Salamanca, Hobart.

In accordance to Section 56A of the Vehicle and Traffic Act 1999, Tasmania Police advise of the temporary closing of the following streets to facilitate this event:

• Brooker Highway between the Berridale on-ramp to Davey Street (south bound only).
• Davey Street between Tasman Highway and Murray Street.
• The waterfront area bordered by Davey Street, Salamanca Place and Elizabeth Street.

Vehicular and pedestrian traffic wanting to travel on or cross the route will be affected. The road closures will occur only when rally participants are on or approaching that section of roadway. Police will be in attendance to manage traffic and will stop or direct traffic away from the event route.
