Police continue their investigations regarding a significant number of CCTV cameras stolen from educational facilities and businesses around Launceston over the past 6 months. 

Recently, Launceston Police carried out a number of searches resulting in the recovery of a substantial amount of suspected stolen CCTV cameras.

Some of these cameras have been identified and returned to their rightful owners. However a large number of these cameras have not been identified and are currently being held at Newnham Police Station.  

Businesses or people who have had CCTV cameras stolen in the past 6 months and have not had them returned are encouraged to contact Newnham Police Station on (03) 6326 6349 or to attend the station at 99 George Town Road, Newnham between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Thursday.
