In the first of its kind in Australia, on-the-spot paper tickets issued by police will be a thing of the past. Tasmania Police has developed a mobile app, the PINS, so police can issue infringement notices electronically on tablet computers.

Unlicensed driver crashes into house

Approximately 1am on Sunday 1st June 2014 Devonport Police responded to a call to Frond Place Devonport in relation to a motor vehicle that had crashed into the front of a house. Dangerous Driving Midland Highway

Between 9am and 3pm on Saturday 31/5/2014, Police received several reports from motorists of a silver Mazda 323 hatch registered number EU0268 travelling at high speed and driving in an erratic manner on the Midland Highway. The car was travelling north in the morning to Launceston from Bridgewater and later travelling south.
