Armed Robbery – Top Of Chapel Takeaway
Around 5:35am on Tuesday 11th February 2014, the shop assistant at the “Top of Chapel†Takeaway store 108 Chapel Street, Glenorchy has been approached after opening and disarming the store by a male offender, brandishing a machete.

Fatal Crash – Midland Highway Powranna (7-Feb)
At about 5.12pm on Friday 7 February 2014 a Mazda sedan travelling north on the Midland Highway at Powranna has crossed the carriageway and collided with a tree. The 33 year old male driver from Hobart has died at the scene.
Single Vehicle Crash – Channel Highway near Margate (9-Feb)
A 43 year old Margate man died as the result of a falling tree branch hitting the cabin of his motor vehicle as he drove along Channel Highway north of Margate at approximately 3.10pm on Sunday the 9th day of February 2014.
