8th Annual Tasmania Police Charity Trust Bike Ride

The Tasmania Police Charity Trust Bike Ride starts in Burnie tomorrow morning.

71 riders have registered and will depart from the car park at West Park, Park Street, Burnie at 8.30am.

Varying the route once again, the first leg of the epic ride is 116km’s from Burnie to Cradle Mountain.

After an overnight stay at Cradle Mountain the riders will embark on the 159km second leg, which will take them to Poatina.

The third and final leg of the journey is Poatina to Launceston and will see the riders’ cycle enmasse to Launceston PCYC at around 1pm on Sunday.

There is over 4000 metres of climbing in this years’ ride which will challenge the riders and test their preparation and determination.

Fundraising is in support of Autism Tasmania and Angels Goal Anti-Bullying organisation. The riders aim to raise $40,000 to be shared between these two organisations.

This is the 8th ride, which has raised over $250,000 for organisations supporting young disadvantaged Tasmanian.
