Youth Detention Centre escapee

At 7:45 pm on Monday 28 February 2011, a 17 year old male escaped from Ashley Youth Detention Centre and was recaptured just before midnight.

A train collided with a pedestrian on the level crossing at Albert Road Moonah just before midnight last night.

Stranger alert in Devonport

Devonport Police have asked for any information in relation to a white van which approached a 10 year old boy on Friday afternoon.

Trafficking charges after vehicle search

Members from Western District Drug Investigation Services have charged a 52 year old Oatlands man with Trafficking in a controlled substance as the result of a vehicle interception in East Devonport.

A Lindisfarne man has been charged in relation to four incendiary devices.

Pedestrian robbery Melville Street

At 1430 hrs on 24/02/11 a female was walking along Melville Street pushing a pram. When the woman stopped to attend to her distressed child, she was approached from behind by a male who took hold of a nappy bag, which was over her shoulder.

Stranger alert

Approximately 3.30 pmSunday 20 February 2011 a 14 year old girl was walking along Mersey Main Road, Spreyton when she was approached by a man driving a white van. The van was travelling on the incorrect side of the road in the vicinity of the Woodrising Avenue intersection.
