Disturbance on Hobart Waterfront (21 Sept) – Six Men Treated at Royal Hobart Hospital

Hobart CIB Detectives are investigating a disturbance which occurred in the area of Morrison Street, Hobart about 3.20am on Sunday 21 September 2014.

It is understood that a physical confrontation occurred between two men who were known to each other, however the incident escalated with others becoming involved.

As a result six men were treated at the Royal Hobart Hospital for injuries including lacerations, a broken nose and concussion. One of the men remained in hospital since the incident, but is expected to be released later today.

Uniform Police responded to the incident and 12 people were arrested for behaviour related offences, which occurred after police arrival. It is clear that there were a large amount of witnesses to the disturbance.
