At about 3:25pm on Thursday the 16th of April 2015 Tasmania Police responded to a report of a burned out vehicle near Guildford, in the state’s North West.

A body was found in the vehicle.

The vehicle was registered to missing Wynyard man Neville Austin (aged 70).

While forensic examinations continue to determine the identity, there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding this incident.

Mr Austin’s family have been informed.

The matter is being investigated by Burnie C.I.B.
