Police are investigating an incident in Cooee this evening in which a man received firearm wounds.
Police attended the address about 7.30pm, in response to a call about an armed man.
Initial investigations indicate the man confronted one of the officers, who discharged his weapon. The man was wounded in the abdomen and leg.
He has been taken to hospital and is receiving treatment.
This matter is under investigation by Professional Standards.
