Members of the Bellerive and Hobart Criminal Investigation Branch have today charged a 30 year old Primrose Sands man with Arson.

The man was charged with one count of Arson in relation to a deliberately lit house fire on Sunday 15 May 2016 at 769 Primrose Sands Road, Primrose Sands.

The man is due to appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court later today.

Detective Inspector Steve Burk today thanked the Primrose Sands community for providing information resulting in today’s charges being laid.

“We also thank members of the Primrose Sands community for their patience in relation to our ongoing investigation into these fires. We understand that it’s a difficult time and we are determined to bring the person or people responsible to justice,” Detective Inspector Burk said.
