Suspicious House Fire Glenorchy

At 5.45am on Friday 10th September 2010, Police and Tasmania Fire Service were called to attend a house fire at Farnham Court, Glenorchy.

Cold Case Unit investigation at Lake Leake

The Tasmania Police Cold Case Unit has completed a search of a Lake Leake property. Personnel had been at the property from Thursday September 2 to Tuesday September 7.

Smithton burglaries

Overnight on 6th-7th September 2010, two businesses in the Smithton area were entered, with a number of items including a safe and cash stolen. During the same time period a box trailer was taken from Poke Street and a trail bike stolen from Stanley.

Operation Unite – a blitz against drunken violence

Tasmania Police is again joining forces with other police jurisdictions across Australia and New Zealand for a weekend of action against alcohol fuelled violence and anti-social behaviour.

Over recent nights police in the Southern District have been dealing with several incidents whereby motor vehicles have been stolen or attempts made to steal them.
