Australia Day Honours for Police Officers

Two recently appointed Police Commanders have been recognised in this year’s Australia Day Honours. Amassing 55 years of service between them, Commanders Tony Cerritelli and Mark Mewis have a wealth of knowledge and experience.

A 56 year old from Bagdad was seriously injured in a tractor incident on the evening of 24th January 2012.

Single Vehicle crash, River Road

At about 2.40pm on Monday 23/1/2012 a single vehicle crash occurred on River Road between Latrobe and Ambleside.

Serious two vehicle crash Don Road, Devonport

At 1.56pm Monday 23/1/2012 a two vehicle head on collision occurred on Don Road, a short distance from the Gateway Church.

At approximately 7.30 pm on Saturday 21st January 2012, Police were advised that two prisoners had escaped from HMP Risdon.

Two vehicle crash Domain Highway Hobart

Approximately 12.50pm on Monday, 23rd January 2012, police were called to attend a two vehicle crash at the intersection of the Domain Highway and Lower Domain Road.
