Police investigated cruelty to animal posted on Facebook

Police and the RSPCA have been made aware of a Facebook post depicting a video of animal cruelty. As a result of this information, on Saturday the 1st March 2014, police conducted a search in Somerset.

Westpac Rescue Helicopter recovers injured cyclist near Wayatinah

At 11.00am this morning the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was activated to attend a cycling accident on the Lyell Highway approximately 2km north-west of Wayatinah towards Tarraleah.

Westpac Rescue Helicopter Mission – Big Gun Pass

At 13.50 hours on Thursday 27 February 2014, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by Australian Search and Rescue to attend a PLB activation in the Du Cane Range area in the Cradle Mountain/Lake St Clair national park.

Helicopter Retrieval

The Tasmania Police Westpac Rescue Helicopter was today tasked by Ambulance Tasmania to Weldborough where a motor cyclist had crashed whilst travelling on the Tasman Highway.

Shortly after 5pm Monday 24 February 2014 police attended a serious assault that had occurred on the street on St Helens Point Road Stieglitz.
