Police continue to investigate the double murder at Hamilton. Forensic examinations continued at the house until midnight last night and will recommence this morning.

Tasmania Police are investigating a single vehicle crash that occurred on the Southern Outlet on Saturday 15 December.

A 38 year old man from Risdon Vale is in a serious condition in the Intensive Care Unit of the Royal Hobart Hospital.

Emergency Alert – Technology Update

The national telephone based emergency warning system ‘Emergency Alert’ now has greater capacity to reach people in the event of an emergency. The upgrade enables alerts to be sent to mobile phones based on their location.

New Town Fire

At approximately 9:45pm on Wednesday 12th December 2012 a fire was deliberately lit in the rear section of a vacant house in Oakley Street New Town.

Safe Stolen from a private residence in Sandy Bay

Between 7 December and 11 December a house in Mawhera Avenue, Sandy Bay, was forcibly entered.

On the 26 October 2012, Ziggy’s Smallgoods located on Hopkins Street, Moonah was unlawfully entered.
