Arson and damage caused at George Town

Police have today charged a 20 year old George Town man in connection with a large amount of damage, committed between Wednesday 25 June 2014 and Friday 27 June 2014.    The George Town man has been bailed to appear at a later date.

The damage includes running down a number of streets signs in the George Town area, the running over of a phone box in Low Head and deliberately running into a parked car.   The man has also been charged with setting fire to a shack and a farm building in the George Town area with a combined damage bill of about $60000.
