Crash on Richmond Road, Dulcot

Officers at the Sorell Police Station would like to thank the members of the public who contacted Crime Stoppers and provided information about the identity of the driver of a red Ford Festiva that crashed on Richmond Road, Dulcot on Australia Day.

Man Charged With Sheffield Assault

On 29 January 2014 Sheffield Police charged a 45 year old man in relation to an alleged assault of two men aged 65 and 71, in Sheffield last Thursday night (23rd January 2014).

Police are seeking information in relation to the whereabouts of two electric guitars.

Helicopter Medivac – Derwent Bridge

At 3:00pm on Tuesday 28/1/14 the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was activated due to an Alice Springs man who was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash.

Assistance Required – Richmond Road Crash

Police are seeking assistance from members of the public who may have witnessed or have any information in relation to a single vehicle crash on Richmond Road near Dulcot on Australia Day – Sunday 26 January at around 8.15pm.

Discarded EPIRB Activation

At 7:30pm Saturday 25/1/2014 an aircraft detected a 121.5mhz EPIRB whilst flying over Northern Tasmania. The Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) deployed the Tasmanian Westpac Rescue Helicopter from Hobart to locate the beacon which was eventually located at the Dulverton Waste Management site near Railton wrapped in a plastic bag.
