Police allege that over a period of months the woman had delivered intentionally contaminated drinks to a 47 year old man on several separate occasions.

The man did not consume the drinks and was not physically injured.

The man and the woman were known to each other and there is no indication that contaminated drinks were sent to any other person.

The woman has been charged with two counts of attempted unlawfully administering poison with intent to harm.

She has been detained to appear in court.
