Crash investigators calling for help from Murdunna motorist

Crash investigators are calling for a Murdunna motorist travelling early in the morning of Monday, 4 May to contact them as they investigate a fatal truck crash which occurred nearby.

Police believe the driver and/or occupants of an SUV travelling south on the Arthur Highway near Murdunna about 5:20am may be able to help confirm the truck’s position on the road just prior to the collision.

Police are confident the driver of the SUV has not committed an offence or caused the crash but believe they will be able to assist the investigation.

Investigators have determined the SUV did not travel across the Dunalley Bridge, and as such believe the driver is a local resident or someone who was staying in the area at the time.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Acting Sergeant Adam Hall at Crash Investigation Services on 131 444.
