Members of the Devonport Criminal Investigation Branch are conducting enquiries in relation to an incident that occurred in the early hours of Sunday the 19th of September 2010.

A 46 year old East Devonport man died as a result of an altercation that occurred in an East Devonport unit.

Two men aged 41 and 45 years both of East Devonport have been charged with one count of common assault as a result of initial police investigations.

Investigations continue in relation to the death. A post mortem examination has been conducted and the results of this process are pending.
