At approximately 2:15pm on the 6^th of May 2022, members from Tasmania Police, Ambulance Tasmania, Tasmania Fire Service and the State Emergency Service attended a fatal single vehicle crash on Lake Leake Highway, Lake Leake.

At the time of the crash, a green Toyota Landcruiser station wagon was travelling west towards Campbell Town. As the Landcruiser entered a left-hand corner, the driver has lost control of the vehicle, before it rolled several times.

As a result of the crash the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 51 year old Swansea woman, died at the scene.

Tasmania police are investigating the cause of the crash and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
