Police are appealing for additional witnesses who may have seen a green 1992 Ford Falcon sedan travelling towards Launceston on the Midland Highway on Thursday 17th July 2014. The vehicle was travelling from Hobart and was involved in a fatal collision with a log truck near Ross at about 1.30pm that day.

The two occupants from Newnham, a 76 year old mother and her 51 year old son, died in the crash. The 64 year old male log truck driver from New Norfolk was not injured.

Northern Crash Investigation Services are currently investigation the matter.
