Launceston Police are investigating a fatal jet ski crash which occurred at about 2.30pm on Monday the 2^nd January 2016 along the Trevallyn Lake. From initial investigations, a 22 year old man who fell off his jet ski was struck by another jet ski riding in the same direction. The man suffered serious injuries and was pulled from the water by passer-by’s where first aid was provided by Tasmania Ambulance however he died shortly after.

The man riding the second jet ski is assisting police with their enquiries.

A report will be prepared for the coroner. Police would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident to contact Launceston Police on 131444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 (this can be done anonymously).
