Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash – Bass Highway Ulverstone

Sadly, a man from Ulverstone has died following a three-vehicle crash on the Bass Highway at Ulverstone, near Camp Clayton.

 

Police and emergency services were called to the scene about 8pm tonight after a silver Mazda BT50 Ute and a silver Holden Commodore ute collided head on in the Devonport-bound lanes.  A blue Mazda 3 sedan has then collided with debris from the first two vehicles.

 

The driver of Holden Commodore ute was pronounced deceased at the scene.

 

Our thoughts are with the man’s family and loved ones at this difficult time.

 

Police, including crash investigation services are on the scene conducting investigations.  Ambulance Tasmania, Tasmania Fire Service and the State Emergency Service (SES) have also been assisting at the scene.

 

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.

Bass Highway traffic is currently being diverted along Westella Drive.
