On Wednesday the 25^th of March, 2020 around 7.30am a red Holden Cruze travelling toward Hobart on the Tasman Highway Mornington has crashed into a tree on the side of the highway.  As a result of the crash the 21 year old male driver from the eastern shore remains in a critical but stable condition in the Royal Hobart Hospital.

The front seat passenger a 19 year old female from Warrane died as a result of the crash.  The female passenger passed away on Thursday the 9^th of April in the Royal Hobart Hospital.  No names have been released at this stage.
