Shortly before 9pm on Saturday 6 March 2021 police and emergency services attended a fatal motor vehicle crash on the Midland Highway near Epping Forrest.

A 43 year old Launceston man, who was on the roadway, was struck by a vehicle and died of his injuries at the scene.

Police would like to hear from anyone who saw the incident or who may have dash cam footage relating to the crash, or the driving behaviour of a silver BMW X5 prior to the crash to contact police on 131444 or contact crime stoppers on 1800 333 000.
