Sadly a woman has died after a vehicle fire at Mowbray this morning.

Police and emergency services were called to Vermont Road just before 9am Friday after reports a bus located on private property was on fire.

Tasmania Fire Service crews from Launceston and Ravenswood attended and contained the fire.

Sadly, a body was located inside the vehicle shortly after.

A fire scene examination will be conducted to determine the cause of the fire.

A formal identification of the deceased will be conducted and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
