Tasmania Police are continuing to encourage people who have relocated from their usual residence due to the ongoing Tasmanian bushfires to register on the National Registration and Inquiry Service (NRIS).

The number is 1800 727 077. 

Registrations can also be made via www.redcross.org.au

NRIS is a key source of information for Tasmania Police to respond to concerns for people affected by the bushfires. 

Anyone wishing to register an enquiry relating to a friend or relative that they have been unable to contact due to the Tasmania fires is also requested to register their concerns on the above number.

Please note, this phone number is in addition to the 1800 567 567 hotline which has been established to provide information about the fire situation and support services.
