Launceston Criminal Investigation Branch is currently investigating a burglary that occurred at the Karoola Hall, Karoola Road, Karoola sometime between 11pm on Friday the 10th of September and 10:30am the following morning.

A local family was preparing the hall for an engagement party that was to occur on Saturday the 11th of September 2010. The party was almost foiled by the theft of food, alcohol, and bar equipment to an approximate value of $9000.
