Kingston Police investigate alleged assault

Kingston Police is investigating an alleged assault of a 63 year old man in Blackmans Bay last night following an altercation with three youths.

 

Approximately 8pm last night, a 63 year old man was returning to his residence situated on Pearsall Avenue, Blackmans Bay when he saw three youths – two male and one female – near his driveway.

 

The man saw one of the youths, described as tall, short curly hair and aged 16-18 years, kick over one of the wheelie bins at the end of his driveway.

 

As he continued to manoeuvre into his driveway, the youth allegedly became aggressive and subsequently assaulted the man, causing bleeding and bruising to his face.

 

The man was treated at the Royal Hobart Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

 

The other two youths are described as follows:

  • Female, short with blonde hair
  • Male, short blonde hair
  • Both aged between 16-18 years

 

Police are investigating this matter and are seeking assistance from anyone who may have witnessed the altercation.
