Police have charged a man in connection to a serious public place assault at a supermarket in Moonah on 22 February 2023.

A 31-year-old man from Goodwood was arrested by Operation Saturate members in the Hobart CBD today after he was promptly identified by Glenorchy CIB Detectives following the incident.

The man has been charged with Causing Grievous Bodily Harm and detained for Court.

The victim of the assault remains in Hospital in a serious condition.
