Mazda located in Victoria as Launceston murder investigation continues

 

The third vehicle of interest in the investigation of the disappearance of Launceston man Jake Anderson-Brettner, a silver Mazda, has been located in Victoria.

 

As a result of the search of that vehicle a significant number of pills, believed to MDMA (ecstasy), has been located and seized by Victorian Police.

 

Victoria Police has also searched a residence and a 57 year old Victorian woman is assisting police with their enquiries.

 

Launceston Police continue to investigate the disappearance of Jake.

 

Police located the torso of a man in bushland several days ago however the body has not yet been formally identified. Police are of the firm belief that the torso is that of Jake.

 

Police and SES continue to search the Launceston Waste Centre for further evidence into Jake’s disappearance.
