At 7.40pm on Friday 22 May, 2020 Tasmania Police were called to attend the report of a crash at the intersection of Bathurst and Frederick Streets, Launceston. The crash involved a small white hatch driven by an 18 year old female and a Tas Ambulance vehicle.

At the time of the crash the Ambulance was attending to an emergency situation in the Launceston area and had emergency equipment activated.

Ambulance personnel were uninjured in the crash and the sole occupant of the white hatch was taken by Ambulance to hospital and released a short time later without any significant injuries.

The crash is under investigation by Launceston Uniform Police who are appealing for any witnesses to the crash or any person in possession of relevant dash camera footage to contact police on 131444 or online via Crime Stoppers.
