Multiple arrests and firearms, property and drugs recovered in Risdon Vale

Two Risdon Vale men, aged 32 and 27-years-old, have been charged following a police operation in Risdon Vale yesterday.

Police executed search warrants at three addresses in Risdon Vale, seizing a stolen firearm, firearm parts, a substantial amount of stolen property including 3x E-bikes, 3x motorcycles, a ride-on lawnmower, tools and jewellery.

Police also seized various illicit and prescription-only drugs and drug-related items.

Police will allege the recovered property was stolen from across Southern Tasmania, including Kettering, Sandy Bay, Hobart, Glenorchy, Austins Ferry, New Norfolk, Geilston Bay and Seven Mile Beach.

Both men were charged with numerous burglary, stealing, property and drug offences.

The 32-year-old man was also charged on other matters and was detained to appear in in the Hobart Magistrates Court.

A third man from Campania, aged 32, was arrested and was also detained to appear in court.

Investigations are continuing regarding the seized firearm and firearm parts.
