A 19-year-old Sorell man has today been charged with murder.  Charges relate to the death of a 51-year-old male, following an assault committed in Sorell on 10 March 2021.

As a result of the assault the deceased suffered significant head injuries and died at the Royal Hobart Hospital at 11.45pm on Saturday 1 May 2021.

The charged male has been detained and will face court on Monday 3 May 2021.
