On Friday, 30 December 2011 at 3.00am a man armed with a small object entered the United Service Station, Lutana and demanded money from the staff member.

Investigations conducted by Western District CIB, Western Forensic Services and Forensic Science Services Tasmania (FSST) have established that a male person has been murdered at an address in East Devonport.
