Pedestrians Struck by Vehicle – Cimitiere Street Launceston

On Saturday 8th May 2021 around 11:35am Tasmania Police and Ambulance Service attended a crash at the intersection of Cimitiere and Tamar Streets involving a silver Subaru Forester and two pedestrians.

The driver of the vehicle was a 91 year old Launceston man and the two pedestrians were a 31 year old man and 33 year old woman, both from Victora.

The pedestrians both received non-life-threatening injuries and received medical treatment at the Launceston General Hospital.

Police would like to remind all road users to remain vigilant while navigating built up areas during busy periods and would like to thank the members of the public who rendered assistance at the scene prior to emergency services arriving.

The crash is being investigation by Launceston Uniform.  Police are asking that anyone who witnessed this incident please call the Launceston Station on 131444.
