Between 23 December 2016 and 30 December 2016 an aggravated burglary has occurred at a Kings Meadows address which has resulted in a number of registered firearms being stolen.

Offender/s have entered an address and forcibly removed 2 x safes which contained firearms cash and other valuables.

4 x pistols and 2 x revolvers were amongst the property stolen as well as cash, jewellery and a distinctive gold nugget.

All firearms stolen were stored appropriately and in compliance with the Firearms Act storage requirements.

Launceston CIB are investigating the matter and anyone with information which could assist is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 (this can be done anonymously) or Tasmania Police on 131 444.
