Police call for information over missing Smithton man
Police are seeking public information as they search for 47-year-old Craig who has been missing from Smithton since Saturday 26 September 2026.
“Over the past week police have conducted a number of searches in Smithton and the surrounding area to locate Craig,” Acting Inspector Martin Parker said.
“At this stage Craig has not been seen since about 12.40pm on Saturday 26 September 2026 when he was in the area of the Smithton township.”
“This week multiple police resources, including members of Western Marine, Western Search & Rescue, SES and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, have continued the search for Craig in and around the Smithton area.
“Western Search & Rescue members and SES members have searched bushland areas in the vicinity of greater Smithton and the Duck River.
Craig is described as tall, with brown eyes, short/shaven sides grey hair, and wears reflective sunglasses.
When he was last seen he was wearing a yellow and navy high-vis long sleeve shirt, dark pants and dark shoes.
“Police and family are concerned for Craig’s welfare and ask that if he is aware a search is being conducted for him, that he make contact to let people know he is ok.”
Police request that people residing in the Smithton area who have CCTV systems that cover footpaths and streets, review their systems for footage on the afternoon of 26 September 2026, for a male matching the description of Craig. If any footage is located, please contact police.
